Meet Karen

Certified Life Coach

Hello! My name is Karen Rohner. I was born and raised just north of Chicago in Wilmette, IL. I was married in 1988 to Steve Rohner. After 17 great years of marriage, I became widowed. Steve died suddenly on the morning of December 15th, 2004 of a disease called ARVC which is a progressive cardiac condition we were unaware he had. Since my husband passed I dedicated my life to taking the best care I could of my kids. My kids are both in their late 20’s now, Kevin is married to Michelle and Kelly has successfully managed to earn her master's degree.

Over the past 13 years, I have founded and facilitated a number of young widows groups. I’ve had the privilege of partnering with an endless number of very young to older widows.  My passion is to help widows find peace within their “new normals” and to help transition them through the changes and challenges of life.

In November of 2016, I found out about this opportunity called life coaching. I fell in love with the idea and off I went. I studied for 8 months as I learned coaching skills I need to live out my dream. One by one I am encouraging and empowering widows to embrace their new normal and lead a fulfilling life.
